News travels fast to the farmer
Many farmers live in places where news is hard to access, yet a large majority of Ghanaian farmers own a mobile phone. Mergdata is partnering with Catholic Relief Services to change the way farmers get educational support within their communities.
With Mergdata’s Darli system, CRS are able to send pre-recorded messages in the farmers’ local languages. Now, farmers can get weather updates, the latest crop prices and more extensive financial training delivered straight to their phone.
By partnering with Mergdata, CRS were able to overcome the barriers of illiteracy and geographical isolation, and also gather accurate information about their own organisational impact.
